Client/Practitioner Expectations:
(REIKI) The first session will be a brief discussion about any concerns or areas of concerns that you want to address. You will be asked to complete a Client Intake Form which consists of general information about you. I will also need a Consent Form signed as well. All of the information that you give will remain confidential and private at all times.
A Reiki session typically starts with the client lying on a massage table, fully clothed, in a restful state. If you stated in our initial conversation, and on your intake form that you have a particular injury or issue, then I will concentrate on that area first. Clients can request for different parts of the body to be worked on during a session, but usually the practitioner will start at the head and torso areas and work down to the back. We can discuss this at the beginning of the session.
Clients should relax during a session. If at any point during the session that you start to feel uncomfortable, physically or psychologically, you should inform the practitioner. You may also talk about anything you are feeling or experiencing during the session if you like. I will talk with you before and after a session but not during as I want you to get to a full state of relaxation.
Appointment Policies:
The first appointment will last a little longer because of gathering history, completing an assessment, questionnaire, and the initial intake form and consent paperwork.
If you need to shorten or lengthen and appointment, we can speak about that as needed. There may be times that extending your time, because of late show, may not be possible. Shortening the length of a session is up to the client.
If you wish to cancel an appointment, please do so in advance so that I may adjust my schedule accordingly.
Fees:
If during your assessment I determine that my work won’t help you, we will end the session and no further sessions will be scheduled until other arrangements have been made to address the situation. You WILL NOT be charged for the session.
Payment is expected at the time services are given unless other arrangements have been made prior to your appointment. I will not be able to provide direct billing to insurance companies or send a bill to be paid for at a later date.
On occasions, individuals may have financial restrictions or unexpected emergencies. If this is the case, we can discuss the matter and see if arrangements can be made prior. This might be such as a sliding scale fee (income based), a referral to another practitioner with a fee that fits your budget, or a sponsorship (where your appointment will be covered out of funds available for such issues).
Professionalism:
Personal and Professional boundaries are respected at all times.
I will only conduct services that I am qualified for (professionally, physically, and emotionally).
I will assess your sessions around your needs and concerns. If at any time I feel I am not qualified or capable of helping you, or can’t meet a client’s needs, I will directly let you know ASAP. I will keep accurate records and note any changes/progress that we have during sessions. Your records will be maintained with the highest privacy level.
I respect ALL CLIENTS regardless of their age, religion, gender, race, origin, sexual orientation, state of health, and personal habits.
Working on a client that is under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be grounds for non-treatment.
Sexual harassment will NOT BE TOLERATED in any way. If the practitioner starts to feel uncomfortable or if safety becomes a concern, the session will be stopped immediately.
If at any time you are not happy with your session, you may be able to receive a full refund for that session or a complimentary session.

How long we retain your data
